For the Germans to stay in the Polish sanatoriums is cheaper than in their own home, the Arabs from Kuwait love our mineral waters, the British still enjoy the effectiveness of our balneology and low dentists' prices, and the Swedes - specialists in vitro. Poland wants to make money on medical tourism and improve the standard of spas. Today Polish clinics, private clinics, spas, beauty salons are increasingly popular among foreign patients. In the sanatoriums, every tenth patient is a foreigner. Already this year, Poland wants to show up in the international arena as a reliable supplier and amounting of medical services. The target group are patients from Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, who are already willing to make use of Polish medical services, spa and rehabilitation. For German patients an unquestionable advantage is the fact that they can go to the Polish health resorts, when they want and each time an insurer will cover the costs of their treatment and pay part of the cost of their stay. By contrast, the German health insurance fund finances patients' stay in the German spas only once every four years. In connection with the signing by the German health insurance funds a contract with the Polish health resorts more and more of our neighbors can benefit from their services.
