CT laboratory in Brzeg is the ultramodern diagnostic laboratory , which belongs to the chain of laboratories and enjoys longstanding tradition. The laboratory in Brzeg has a modern equipment – 16-line Toshiba CAT scanning Activision 16 and employs high trained medical personnel. To the team adhere: doctor of radiology, who has got over 20 years old experience, three radiology specialists, who have several years of occupation, four electroradiology technicians, two nurses and administrative employees, who willingly give professional informations and determine the appointment book of examinations, which is opportune for the patient. The mission of our laboratory is to assure the patients the high class diagnostic examinations and to plan the procedures and also to get round to the individual attitude to each patient, which nowadays is becoming an increasingly rare privilege. We don’t try just to do examinations, but also be prepared to examine the patient and provide professional advice and free consultations of carried out examinations on each patient's request. Our vision is to create a chain of high-class CT laboratories, providing services not only patients from Poland, but also from other European countries. We hope that the high quality of service and team’s professionalism will result in thousands of tests yearly. Patients can register for the examination by telephone, in person or by e-mail. On the examination’s day the patient shall forward a referral from a specialist to radiologist in the studio of TK, and the examination is performed on this basis. If patient does not have a referral from a doctor, he is consulted by the radiologist. When the test is clear, the patient is prepared for examination by a nurse, for example, the contrast is given, the port is put on, an interview about possible allergies, sensitivity, past illness, etc is contucted. The test performs electroradiology technician in collaboration with a physician. It test lasts about 5 minutes (up to 10 minutes in the case of particularly complex). After the test images are examined by a radiologist. He creates reconstructions (two or three-dimensional, black and white or color - depending on the needs of the patient) and record them to CD / DVD. Then he describes the photo very clearly for medical specialists so as to support a helpful material, needed for further treatment of the patient. Each patient receives a copy of a CD / DVD with pictures and a description of the examination on paper. The data are archived to allow easy access to research results in the event of loss or subsequent consultation, needed for assessing the disease.
